Plan the year, plan the lesson, and see the whole picture — all in MySchool.
Curriculum & Lesson Planning brings your school's schemes of work, your teachers' lesson plans and your students' progress through the syllabus into one connected flow. Leadership builds the curriculum once. Teachers plan straight from it. Heads of department and principals review in a few clicks. And students and parents can finally see where the class is in the course — without a single extra spreadsheet.
What's new
Start from the National Standards Curriculum in one click
MySchool ships with the Ministry of Education's National Standards Curriculum (NSC) for Grades 7–9 already loaded — Mathematics, English Language (Grades 7–8), Integrated Science, Social Studies and Information Technology. That's over 1,200 objectives, organised by term and unit, complete with suggested activities, assessment criteria, prior learning, resources and links to other subjects. Pick a guide, choose your subject, and you have a full Draft curriculum ready to adapt. No retyping PDFs.
A curriculum builder made for schemes of work
Build curricula the way Jamaican schools already think about them: Term › Unit › Topic › Sub-topic › Objective, with activities and assessment under each objective. Publish when ready, copy last year's into the new year, and decide which classes follow it.
Lesson plans that know where they belong
Every lesson plan can be placed in the curriculum. Teachers pick the unit and topic, tick the objectives the lesson covers, and the unit's prior learning, resources and cross-curricular links appear right where they're needed. After teaching, a short reflection captures how it went — objectives covered, how many students grasped it, attendance, the 4 Cs, and what happens next.
Coverage you can see
Each class gets a live course outline: every unit and objective with its status — Not started, Planned, Covered or Carried forward — and a percentage covered for the unit and the course. Teachers see it beside their plans. Students and parents see it on the new Outline tab in the portal.
Review that takes minutes, not meetings
Heads of department review their team's plans from the department page. Principals and administrators get a school-wide Lesson plan review screen: every teacher, every plan, filter by period and status, open a plan, rate it and leave feedback the teacher sees straight away.

Get started in four steps
- Create the curriculum. Go to Curriculum and choose Start from NSC (or New curriculum to build your own). See Building your curriculum.
- Publish it. Review the Draft, adjust it to your school, then set its status to Published. Classes of that subject and grade pick it up automatically.
- Plan lessons. Teachers open Lesson Plan in their classroom and create plans placed in the curriculum. See Planning lessons from the curriculum.
- Review and follow progress. HODs and leadership open plans, rate them and comment; everyone watches the course outline fill up. See Reviewing lesson plans.
