We are excited to announce a major new enhancement to the MySchool Jamaica platform — you can now scan documents directly from inside the web application using your regular scanner, with no extra steps or complicated manual workflows.

This is made possible through our new companion application, the MySchool Scanner Agent, which works seamlessly with the MySchool web app to provide fast and secure document scanning.

Inside every student’s record, the Add Document(s) window now includes:

🔹 Attach existing PDF file(s)

Upload saved PDFs as always, with improved file listing and remove options.

🔹 Scan using Scanner Agent

Use your school’s scanner to digitize documents directly into MySchool with just one click.

If the Scanner Agent isn’t installed, the system will guide you to download it immediately — right from the modal.

🖨️ How the New Scanning Workflow Works

1. Install the MySchool Scanner Agent

A lightweight Windows application that connects your browser to your physical scanner.

2. Click “Scan via MySchool Agent” in the web app

The system automatically detects the agent.

• If running → the scanner pops up

• If not running → you are prompted to install or launch it

3. Scan your document

Supports:

• ADF (Automatic Document Feeder)

• Duplex scanning

• Multiple pages

• Flatbed scanners

4. Automatic upload

As soon as scanning finishes, the document is:

• Converted to PDF

• Sent securely to MySchool

• Added to the student’s document list

• Visible immediately — no manual uploading required

5. Agent minimizes to the tray

Stays ready for the next scan.

All scanning happens locally on your computer.
Your documents are sent only to the MySchool platform through encrypted channels.
No files are stored permanently on your machine — everything is cleaned up after upload.
