We are excited to announce the launch of the new Academic Leaderboard, a powerful and engaging tool designed to provide a dynamic, at-a-glance view of student academic performance. This feature celebrates student achievement and offers valuable insights for educators and administrators.
What is the Leaderboard?
The Academic Leaderboard is an interactive dashboard that ranks students within a specific class based on their final scores. You can view rankings for overall performance across all subjects or drill down to see rankings for a single subject. The modern, intuitive design makes it easy to track progress and recognize top-performing students throughout the academic year.
Key Features
Our new leaderboard is packed with features to give you the exact information you need:
- Powerful Filtering: Easily find the data you're looking for by filtering results by Class, Academic Year, Term, and Grade Method (e.g., Final Grade, Final Grade 2).
- Dual View Modes:
- Overall: See a comprehensive ranking of students based on their total scores across all subjects.
- By Subject: Select a specific subject to see how students rank in that discipline alone.
- Podium for Top Performers: The top three students are prominently featured on a "podium," celebrating their outstanding achievements and providing a clear visual of the class leaders.
- Clean & Clear Ranking List: Students ranked from 4th place onwards are displayed in a clean two-column layout, making it easy to scroll and find specific students.
- At-a-Glance Performance Indicators: To provide a quick visual assessment of performance, students in the main list have a colored star next to their score:
- Green Star: Indicates a score of 80% or higher.
- Orange Star: Indicates a score between 50% and 79.99%.
- Red Star: Indicates a score below 50%.
Role-Based Access
The leaderboard is designed with data security in mind. Your role within the system determines which classes you can view:
- Teachers will see the classes assigned to them as a homeroom.
- Supervisors will see all classes within the grade levels they supervise.
- Administrators and Principals have access to view all classes across the institution.
How to Access the Leaderboard
- Navigate to the Academics section from the main menu.
- Click on the "Reports" sub-menu.
- Select "Class Leaderboard" from the list of available reports.
- Use the filters at the top of the page to select your desired criteria and click "View Leaderboard."
We believe this new feature will be an invaluable tool for monitoring student progress and fostering a positive and motivating academic environment. If you have any questions, please contact our support team.
