A Parent's Guide to Our New Online Application and Registration Process

We are excited to introduce our new online application and registration system, designed to make enrolling your child in school a simpler and more convenient experience. This guide will walk you through the exact steps to get started and successfully submit your application.

Getting Started: Use Any Device, Anywhere

Our online portal is built for your convenience. You can complete your child's application from your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer.

We highly recommend using your mobile device to complete the application. This will be especially helpful as you will likely need to upload pictures of your student and various documents (e.g., birth certificate, proof of address). Your smartphone's camera is the perfect tool for this.

A Quick Tip for Uploading Documents:

Modern smartphones produce high-resolution photos, which can lead to large file sizes. These large files might prevent you from successfully uploading your documents. To avoid this, we recommend this simple solution using WhatsApp:

1. Start a WhatsApp conversation with yourself. (You can do this by saving your own phone number as a contact and starting a new chat).
2. Use the WhatsApp camera to take pictures of all required documents. Open the chat with yourself and use the camera icon within WhatsApp to capture the images.
3. Send the pictures to yourself in the chat. WhatsApp automatically compresses the images while keeping them clear and high-quality for your application.
4. When you're ready to upload, find the images in your phone's gallery. The compressed images will be saved in your "WhatsApp Images" folder, ready to be attached to your application.

Alternatively, if you have a scanner connected to your desktop computer, you may also use that to scan your documents and upload the files.

How to Start Your Online Application: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to find your school and begin the registration process.

Step 1: Access the Portal

You have two ways to get to our main application portal:

• With a QR Code: If you have been provided with a QR code by the school, simply scan it with your smartphone’s camera.
• Via the Web: If you do not have a QR code, open your internet browser and go to: https://app.myschooljamaica.com

Step 2: Select Your School

On the main page, you will see a list of schools. Scroll through the list and select the name of the school you wish to register your child for.

Step 3: Go to the Registration Page

After selecting your school, you will be taken to that school's information page. Look for and click the green "Registration" button to proceed.

Step 4: Start the Application

You are now in the registration portal for your chosen school. To begin, click the "Start Registration" button.

Step 5: Enter Initial Details

You will now need to provide some initial information to begin the form:

• The Student's Full Name.
• The Parent/Guardian's Email Address.

This email address is the most important step. All communication regarding your application, including your confirmation and any further updates, will be sent to this address. Please double-check it for accuracy before proceeding.

Step 6: Complete the Full Application Form

After entering the initial details, you will proceed to the main application form. Fill out all the required information. The form will guide you through various sections, such as:

• Detailed Student Information
• Parent/Guardian Information
• Emergency Contacts
• Medical History
• Required Documents

Step 7: Upload Your Documents

When prompted, use the "Browse" or "Upload" button to select the documents you prepared earlier from your phone's gallery ("WhatsApp Images" folder) or your computer.

Step 8: Review and Submit

Look over your entire application one last time to ensure all information is correct. Once you are satisfied, click the "Submit" button.

Step 9: Check for Confirmation

Once your application has been successfully submitted, a confirmation message will appear on your screen. You will also receive a confirmation email at the address you provided. This email is your official record of the submission.
