Ease of Access in the AVD Environment

Our move to the AVD, formerly known as Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), signifies a leap in accessibility. Now, you can operate Complete SMS Version 10 directly within your browser or through the AVD Windows client, making remote management more streamlined than ever.

System Requirements and Installation

Before you begin, ensure your system meets the necessary requirements. Depending on your Windows system type, download and install the AVD Windows client:

• Windows 64-bit
• Windows 32-bit
• Windows ARM64

Installation Options:

1. Install Just for You: Ideal for personal devices. Does not require admin rights.
2. Install for All Users: Recommended for shared devices. Requires admin rights.

After installation, launch the client via the Start menu by searching for "Remote Desktop".

Setting Up Your Account

Upon launching the AVD client, you'll need to subscribe to the workspace. Click the 'Subscribe' button to proceed. When prompted to sign in, modify your existing RemoteApp account username. For instance, 'username@remoteapp.com' should be changed to 'username@comsoleducation.onmicrosoft.com'.

1. Click 'Next' after entering your username.
2. Input your current RemoteApp password and click 'Sign in'.

Upon successful login, the Complete SMS Version 10 icon will appear in your workspace.

Shortcut Creation and Access

Windows will automatically create a shortcut for the RemoteApp in your Start Menu. If it doesn't appear, search for it and pin it to your preferred location for easy access.
