We're delighted to announce updates to the grade sheet configuration in MySchoolJamaica. These changes are designed to offer increased user control and simplify the grade sheet setup process:

Ease of Retroactive Adjustments for Home Room Assignments:
Now, no longer requiring intervention from a support agent, teachers can make changes to past academic periods as long as the period is opened for editing. -
Streamlined Mixed-Class Setup and Editing:
The new version minimizes the steps required to set up or edit a mixed class, making it more efficient for teachers to manage their grade sheets.

How to Use:

Access the Grade Book:
- Navigate to
Tasks > My Markbook2
from the side menu bar.
- Navigate to

Initiate New Grade Sheet:
- Click the "Insert" button, represented by a plus sign (
+
).

Configure Grade Sheet Settings:
- Input the period (year and term), subject, type, and Class ID as necessary.

Select Home Room or Mixed Class:
- Choose the
Homeroom
option if the grade sheet is based on a homeroom. - Choose the
Mix
option for mixed classes.

For Mixed Classes:
- When "Mix" is selected, you'll need to choose a grade level. The system will automatically suggest a name for the mixed class. Click "Insert," and you'll be taken to the "Setup Class" window to assign students. Once done, click "Save and Close."

Editing a Mixed Class:
- To edit a mixed class, simply click the "Edit" button on the grade sheet, then "Names." This reopens the "Setup Class" window, allowing you to modify the student list. The "Edit" button also includes a dropdown with an "Edit Name" option, which serves the same purpose.

By following these straightforward steps, you can easily create or edit grade sheets based on either home rooms or mixed classes, thus, eliminating the need for multiple steps and potential support agent intervention.
